Donal McNaughton was born and raised in Glens of Antrim. Having spent his life there it’s from these same Glens that he draws his inspiration. He is a self-taught artist whose work reflects renowned painters such as Charles McAuley, Frank McKelvey etc. The rural life of the Glens and its magnificent scenery forms the basis for most of his work. However, Donal has his own unique and personal style.  Although painting for some years his work has only recently been recognised for its quality.
